Favourite Shops in Sydney (with links for online shoppers)

I moved to Sydney about three months ago, and I have not been managing myself well when it comes to shopping. I can’t help but appreciate the fashion designers here in Sydney. I get so overwhelmed whenever I see such unique pieces.

Today, I want to share with you all my favourite shops in Sydney (in order). Most of them are shops with large varieties of items, great total customer experience and pleasant store interiors.

1.Tuchuzy
I only discovered this shop two weeks ago but it instantly became my number one favourite amongst the rest. I was walking on the premises of Bondi Beach when the store sign caught my attention. It was Tuchuzy on neon pink lights with clear background. It was so pretty, I could not help but enter their shop.

Look at that. The whole store is just so attractive. The store layout, design, ambience, and displays – how can one not fall into that trap of entering a store? As soon as I entered, I was welcomed with such warm smiles. Five seconds after I grabbed a piece of clothing, someone offered to help me carry it. And while I was fitting some clothes, every now and then, they would ask if I had the correct size, if I liked it or if they could offer me other colours. I mean these are simple things that can definitely contribute to the total customer experience.

Just like Incu, they have such a large variety of items. They have bikinis, wallets, sunglasses, clothing, shoes, accessories and bags. And if remember correctly, they have over eighty-five brands in their shop. I’m going to share with you guys one of the unique items that I got from Tuchuzy but I’ll continue to share more as I start using them.

Yes, it’s fur on leather. How unique is that!!! This is  from a Stockholm based leather goods brand called Little Liffner. They’ve been hand crafting bags since 2012. Again, HAND crafting. I personally love unique and good quality products, so this is a great buy. As you can see, they stock brands from different parts of the world. They have other brands that caught my attention such as Jeffrey Campbell, Acne Studios, Alexander Wang, Georgia Alice and many more.

2. Incu
Similar to Tuchuzy, Incu also has very appealing store interiors, which in my opinion is a huge factor. However, if I were to comment on what’s lacking in this store, it would be staff members. Whenever I visit their shop, they would only have around two to three staff members. And seeing as quite a lot of people visit their shop (especially the one in The Galleries on George Street), sometimes it takes more time for them to attend to your needs for shoe sizes, availabilities and payment. Overall though, I still love how they carry plenty of brands and how they attend to you when they actually do.

My favourite buy from this store would be the K. Jacques slip-ons. I’ve been using it for weeks now. I think it’s a very classic design. I’ve been able to pair this with almost anything, whether it be a pair of shorts, jeans or dress.

3. Alpha60
The difference between the first two shops that I mentioned and Alpha60 is that this one is a specialized shop. They only focus on their brand and they don’t stock any other brands. Alpha60 is a Melbourne based brand with two siblings, Alex and Georgie Cleary, as designers. When I first entered their store, I didn’t like their designs so much. I thought it was too unique – they had tops with emoticons on them, which I thought was yes, cute, for a 10 year old girl. But the second time around for some reason, I was able to appreciate their designs more. I kind of thought that their designs were inspired by the Japanese fashion because of the materials they use and the design of the clothes. I asked the store assistant about it and she said somehow, it is actually inspired by the Japanese fashion.

Although my boyfriend thinks that this dress looks like a maternity dress, it’s still my current favourite dress.

If you ever have the time to stop by Paddington, you automatically have two awesome shops to visit. Aside from Incu and Alpha60, there are other shops on Paddington that you might adore such as Zimmerman, Acne Studios and Jac+Jack.
