Evening Look in 6 Easy Steps

Currently on an Uber to 360 Bar and Dining at the Sydney tower. Expecting quite a lot from this restaurant seeing as the Sydney tower is one of the most famous landmarks here in Sydney.

As I’m on the way, I just thought that it would be great to share with all of you some of my personal easy steps to create an evening look, which you can use if suitable.

1. Make sure your face is clean and moisturized.
I personally use the Clinique mild liquid facial soap and apply Clinique clarifying lotion 2 to make sure that my face is clean before I moisturize. Now that I’ve made sure that my face is clean, I move on to the next step: moisturize. My moisturizer varies depending on my current skin condition. Now that it’s really dry, I use total moisture from Benefit.

2. Eyebrows.
I use two products for my brows. I first use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in dark brown to fill in the spaces of my brows. I then use Benefit’s Gimme Brow in shade #3 to add more volume to my brows and it also serves as a gel to keep my brows in place the entire night.

I learned something interesting about Benefit’s Gimme Brow from one of Sephora’s beauty consultants. Instead of following the hair of your brows when applying, go against it, then follow through the strokes of your hair afterwards. That way, you’re actually applying the gel to the roots so it properly serves its purpose.

3. Eyelashes.
For Asians like myself, I think applying mascara is one of the key steps to a good evening look. I use two mascaras after curling my eyelashes. One is Benefit’s They’re Rreal tinted primer, and second is Benefit’s They’re Real mascara. I find these two very effective as it doesn’t smudge as much as other mascaras that I’ve tried. So far I think these two are the best ones.

4. Cheeks, highlight, contour.
For the cheeks, I simply brush through the apples of my cheeks with Nars’s blush in orgasm. I then brush through the parts of my face (above my cheek bones, on top of lips and nose) where it’ll be most exposed to light with Nars’s albatross. Lastly, I contour my face with Benefit’s Hoola. I apply this product just below my cheekbone, and a little on my jaw line.

5. Lips
For the lips, I wanted it to look something like red wine, so I mixed Kylie’s matte liquid in dolce k and Estēe Lauder’s lipstick in envy.

Casually tie your hair in a ponytail.

  1. If I may, I suggest proper capitalization when using product names as they are proper nouns. It will give the readers a better flow on reading. Nevertheless, I am glad to see the improvement so quickly! Thank you for considering my input. Good luck on your blog. 🙂
